Suffolk police are investigating the death of an elderly woman who was found dead at her North Babylon home on Tuesday afternoon. 
First Precinct police officers responded to 6 Rhoda Ave. after Lillian Trees, 91, was found dead in her backyard at 2:16 p.m.
Trees was discovered by a relative at the bottom of the rear stoop wearing a coat, hat and boots, according to Homicide Squad detectives.
She was taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office where an autopsy will be conducted.
