Suffolk police said 67-year-old Florence Soah of Hampton Bays was driving a Ford Taurus on Frowein Road when she attempted to make a left turn at the intersection of Railroad Avenue but her car was struck on the passenger side by a Chevrolet Blazer driven by 17-year-old Johanna Forney of Eastport at 3 p.m.

Edward Goering, 81, of East Quogue, a passenger in Soah’s car, was pronounced dead at the scene. Soah, Forney and two 15-year-old passengers in Forney’s sport utility vehicle were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center where they were listed in stable condition.

Seventh Squad detectives determined that Goering was the only one not wearing a seatbelt.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752 or to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
