Bohemia Man Shot, Killed in Home Invasion

A Bohemia man was fatally shot during a home invasion early Monday morning, Suffolk police said.

The victim, 53-year-old Steven Privitera, a truck driver, was shot in the abdomen inside his Sycamore Avenue hobullets-300x22511me by two masked men who had forced their way into the house and demanded money at 12:28 a.m., according to Homicide Squad detectives.

He was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives ask anyone who may have information about this incident to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
