Fantastic Plastic

by Long Island Press on December 10, 2009

A choice is a wonderful thing to have. This country is built on our freedom to choose, and we live and die by it. The holidays should be no exception. That’s why many retailers have banded together to offer gift cards that can be redeemed at a number of stores. Gap, Inc., which owns all Gap stores, as well as Old Navy and Banana Republic, has gift cards that are interchangeable between stores. That also includes the Rachel Zoe-approved fashion site PiperLime, as well as the athlete-inspired Athleta fitness apparel line, both of which are also owned by Gap. This card leaves virtually no room for error, as it is guaranteed to please almost every demographic imaginable. To channel a more thrifty vibe, purchase a Tanger gift card, which is good for any of the hundreds of stores located in the famous Tanger Outlets. For another option to give the gift of discount, look no further than T.J. Maxx. Not only can their cards be used at their various locations, but also at any Marshall’s, HomeGoods or AJWright. The most flexible option is the Simon Mall Gift Card, which not only grants carte blanche to any store in Simon malls such as Roosevelt Field, the Mall at The Source and Walt Whitman Mall, but it also acts as a Visa debit card and is good anywhere those are accepted. These great programs are just a few more reasons why when it comes to holiday shopping, plastic is fantastic.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
