A Freeport man was arrested for robbing a victim at a hotel in West Hempstead early Friday morning, Nassau police said. 
The victim exited the Courtesy Hotel on Hempstead Avenue when a man him and demanded money and the victim gave the robber his wallet with approximately $130 inside at 12:15 a.m., according to 5th Squad detectives.
The victim told the robber that he was going to call 911 and the robber then stole the victim’s cell phone. The victim saw the robber then go into room 208 at the hotel.
Fifth Precinct officers then went to the room and charged Alain Bernier, 24, with robbery. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
