An elderly woman was violently mugged in Elmont on Tuesday night, Nassau police said. 
The 73-year-old victim was walking on the corner of Meacham Avenue and American Avenue when she was pushed to the ground and had her pocketbook containing $150 stolen at 6:25 p.m., according to 5th Squad detectives.
The robber kicked the victim in the face four or five times, police said. No arrests have been made.
