Franklin Square Man Dies In Hit And Run

PoliceLights2A Franklin Square motorcyclist was killed in a hit and run crash in Franklin Square on Saturday morning.

Nassau cops say John Deiker, 46, was riding a Honda motorcycle when a vehicle smashed into him at the intersection of Commonwealth Street and Naple Avenue at 11:46 a.m.

The vehicle fled the scene.

Deiker was taken to Franklin Hospital where he died from his injuries less than an hour later.

The investigation is ongoing.

Detectives request anyone with information about this accident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
