Heather Dajani, 18, struck the 26-year-old woman with a metal rod and demanded the victim’s handbag on Munro Boulevard but the victim wrested the pipe away and then struck Dajani with it, knocking off her eyeglasses at around 9:50 p.m., according to 5th Squad detectives.

Dajani fled in a Honda driven by 19-year-old Sergio Urra, police said. The victim was treated and released from South Nassau Hospital. Both Dajani and Urra are from North Valley Stream.

About two hours later, police were called to Dajani’s Beverly Parkway home after she told her mother she’d been assaulted by an ex-boyfriend, according to investigators. Dajani was taken to Franklin Hospital, accompanied by Urra.  Police identified Dajani’s glasses, recovered from the scene of the attempted robbery, which led to the pair’s arrest after Dajani was treated and released.

Urra and Dajani were each charged with attempted robbery and will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Monday.

Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
