While the they were driving, the teens made a sharp turn at the intersection of Colonial Springs Road and Foxwood Drive in Wheatley Heights, when Ji kicked the rear door open, rolled out of the moving vehicle, ran to a nearby house and called police. Thompson crashed Ji’s vehicle at the intersection of Westmore Place and Ridge Road, police said.
Ji was later taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
