A 20-year-old man was arrested Thursday for a murder in Hempstead last month.
Christopher Williams of Hempstead was charged with second-degree murder. 
Nassau police Homicide Squad detectives say he shot 54-year-old Guillermo Chavez-Campos of Hempstead in the head in front of the El-Bilisemo Deli on Fulton Avenue on Sept. 29.
Williams was arrested following a joint investigation between Nassau police and Hempstead police. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
