Multiple Reports of Criminal Mischief in Wantagh and Massapequa

Multiple acts of criminal mischief and larceny were reported between 6 and 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 in Wantagh and Massapequa, Nassau police said.

Over the course of that three-and-a-half hours, 7th Squad detectives have so far reported that an unknown number of people broke the front passenger window on five vehicles. The assailants took materials inside the vehicles, including cash, handbags, clothing, a briefcase and a cell phone.

The vehicles were located at Wantagh Avenue, Carmans Road, Martin Drive and Roger Drive.

Detectives are still looking into the incidents. Anyone who could aid them with knowledge of the larcenies is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.
