Rocky Point Man Pleads Guilty to Raping Bartender

A Rocky Point man and gym teacher pleaded guilty Wednesday in Suffolk County court to sexually assaulting a bartender in Mount Sinai in February.

Michael J. Wachholder, 31, is expected to be sentenced to 18 years in prison at his next court date on Oct. 28 before Judge Barbara Kahn. Wachholder is a Three Village school district physical education teacher who is on administrative leave.

Wachholder pleaded guilty to first degree rape, aggravated sexual abuse and assault charges. The victim worked at Secrets Lounge.
