3rd Annual North Fork Foodie Tour –Sep. 13

foodieOnce again, the annual Foodie Tour will feature a day of tours, visits and events celebrating the unique artisanal foods produced on the North Fork. Go behind the scenes and meet the extraordinary people who have dedicated their lives to producing local foods and practicing methods of sustainable agriculture. Also featured that day at Charnews Farm will be a juried Art Exhibit, curated by Caroline Waloski of Siren’s Song Galleries of Greenport, featuring an array of food-related art. Many Greenport galleries and artists will be participating. Food tastings, demonstrations and family activities will be ongoing at Charnews all day.

Tickets in advance are $20 and children 12 and under are free; tickets on tour day are $25.You can also purchase them at Gallery M in Greenport; Complement the Chef in Southold; Ceily’s Love Lane Gallery in Mattituck; Garden of Eve Organic Farm in Aquebogue. Call 631-722-5712 for details.

Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
