DJ AM was found dead in his NYC apartment this afternoon.
TMZ.com states, “Our sources say DJ AM had not been seen or heard from for a few days — one of his friends went to check on him, but got no response after knocking on his apartment door.” The fire department was called, entered the apartment and found the body. According to TMZ, drug paraphenalia and prescription bottles have been found at the scene.
DJ AM and musician Travis Barker were the only survivors of a fiery plane crash in 2008.
