Live Nation Goes Veg For Chrissie Hynde

by Long Island Press on August 5, 2009

chrissieIn an effort to help support the vegan-friendly initiatives of the Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde, Live Nation is removing all meat products from local venues at next weeks area performances as well as promote an intimate pre-show veggie BBQ with WRXP 1o1.9 FM contest winners.

“I’m always surprised when I meet meat eaters,” Hynde tells Scotland On Sunday.  “I just think why on earth do you do that? You could put a gun to my head and say, ‘If you want to live you have to eat steak’, and I’d say, ‘Time to go’. I don’t want that kind of blood on my soul. I’m ready to go right now to be honest. I’m not saying I want to die, but I’ve got no further material goals. Anyway, if you haven’t finished your business here you’ll come back to do it. I like to think mine is finished, thanks very much.”

The Pretenders, along with Cat Power and Juliette Lewis perform on August 9th at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, New Jersey and August 10th at Central Park Summer Stage in New York City.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
