This morning we happened upon a press release called “God Hates Lady Gaga” announcing a protest against the singer. After we spit our coffee everywhere, chuckled a bit and hung it on our wall, we shook out our keyboard, dug up some of our other favorite quotes from the past year and categorized them for your reading pleasure.
Giant balloons, floats, marching bands and clowns with confetti brought smiles to thousands along the route of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Some of the big balloons are new, like the Pillsbury Doughboy and the Sailor Mickey. Others, like Spider-Man, Ronald McDonald and Buzz Lightyear, are making repeat appearances.

Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi took the stage at Democratic Headquarters at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale to address the room while he clung to a slim 100-plus vote margin.
Suozzi predicted that the race would not be over this day, but said it would probably be back and forth, debating for an unknown amount of time.
