Jeffrey Reynolds, Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Executive Director

Just as this issue was going to press, New York State lawmakers announced a deal on a bill mandating that doctors check an online database of prescriptions in real time to crack down on doctor shopping. Among those in Albany this week lobbying for the legislation was Reynolds, LI’s chief anti-drug abuse advocate. He has been leading the fight against prescription drug abuse well before six people were killed in two LI pharmacy robberies last year. And in his spare time—a rare occurrence, considering the magnitude of the drug problems on the Island—Reynolds has managed to run the Long Island Marathon while simultaneously raising money to support LICADD’s programs.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
