Nassau’s Robbery Squad has arrested a Brooklyn man at 11:30 a.m. yesterday in connection with three robberies that occurred in September.
Dani Demalija, 44, was being held at Nassau County Correction Center on unrelated charges. He was found and arrested by officers and charged with three counts of robbery.
The dates and locations of the three previous robberies were:
Sept. 9, 11:20 a.m., Chase Bank, 901 S. Main St., South Farmingdale. Demalija passed a note, which demanded money, to the teller. He was given an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and left the bank in an unknown direction. There were seven employees and one customer present, none of whom were hurt.
Sept. 17, 10:15 a.m., Capital One Bank, 5 Green Acres Rd., Valley Stream. Demalija gave a note to a teller demanding money. He received an unknown sum of U.S. currency. He then entered the passenger side of a gray vehicle. No injuries were reported among the 10 employees and three customers.
Sept.26, 10:33 a.m., Citibank, 670 Merrick Ave., East Meadow. Demalija passed a note demanding money to a teller. The teller complied, Demalija placed money into a white and blue canvas bag and fled in an unknown direction.
