A Huntington Station man was shot and wounded two blocks from his home Monday night, Suffolk police said.
Timothy Hardge, 23, was shot in the left shoulder by unknown assailant while he was on East Fourth Street following an altercation with another man at a nearby USA Gas Station at about 9:30 p.m., according to Second Squad detectives.
The victim went to Huntington Hospital for treatment.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252; or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
The investigation is continuing.
