A Valley Stream man went all in and came home king this weekend when he finished 4th place at the 2009 World Series of Poker Championship in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Eric Buchman, a member of the Top Set Player Management team, started the tournament that began in July with 6,494 players. He returned as part of the final nine on Nov. 7 and he outlasted five players to bring home a cash prize of $2,502,890.
Buchman, who represents Poker Stars, returned to the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino to cheer on his fellow team member, 21-year-old Joe Cada, who became the youngest to win the World Championship title in the tournament’s 40-year-history when he defeated Darvin Moon on Tuesday night.
Cada, who turns 22 next week, brought home $8.5 million.
