A second suspect was arrested Wednesday in connection with the stabbing death of a Westbury teenager four weeks ago, Nassau police said.
Douglas A. Fuentes Gonzalez, 24, of New Cassel, was charged with second-degree murder for the Aug. 7 attack on 16-year-old Zack Rosales. The arrest comes six days after Cristian Sandoval, 17, of Westbury, was arrested on the same charge.
On the night of the murder, Rosales was walking on Nassau Street near the corner of Cross Street after seeing a movie when he was approached by eight Hispanic men “calling him the enemy,” according to Homicide Squad detectives. Two men from the group chased the victim down, struck him with a belt buckle and stabbed him.
The victim was taken to Winthrop Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Gonzalez will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday.
