British singer Lily Allen announced Thursday that she is pregnant with her first child.
Allen, 25, confirmed in a statement that she and boyfriend Sam Cooper are expecting. She told The Sun that she is 3 months along and “absolutely delighted.”
The foul-mouthed songstress originally shot down rumors of her pregnancy on her Twitter account, but has since thanked her fans for their well-wished since the announcement. “I really want to start a family,” she tweeted.

Allen and Cooper, 32, have been dating for a little more than a year. Cooper owns a decorating and construction company.
The statement released Thursday said Allen would continue with her scheduled performances, including a gig at England’s Big Chill festival on Sunday. Last month she shared the stage with Jay-Z at London’s Wireless Festival.
This marks Allen’s second pregnancy. She suffered a miscarriage in 2008 during her pregnancy with then-boyfriend Ed Simons of the Chemical Brothers.
