Teen Charged With Shooting 2 in Freeport

A 17-year-old Hempstead man has been accused of shooting two teenagers in Freeport this week.

Nassau County police arrested Angel Bermudez and charged him with second- degree attempted murder and criminal use of a firearm.

Police said Bermudez shot a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old on South Main Street shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The victims are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Bermudez will be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
