Freeport Shooting Leaves 2 Teens Wounded

Two teenagers were shot and wounded in Freeport on Wednesday evening, Nassau County police said.

Officers responded to a shooting on South Main Street where they found an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy lying on the ground suffering from gun-shot wounds shortly before 7 p.m., police said.

The victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  There was no description of the gunman.
