Nassau County police are looking for the gunman who shot and seriously wounded a man in Elmont on Thursday evening.
The 30-year-old victim was standing outside of a residence on Miriam Parkway when he was shot in the abdomen and thigh shortly before 8 p.m., police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The suspect was described as a black man, 6-feet tall with an average build wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
