Authorities are looking for the person responsible for the shooting death of a cat near the East Patchogue waterfront on Tuesday.
The Suffolk County SPCA said the discovery was made a short distance away from the homes on Hampton Street in a tall grass and marshy area near the Great South Bay.
The agency is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
