Valley Stream Man Shot at, Gunman Sought

A Valley Stream man was punched and shot at after he answered a knock at his door on Wednesday afternoon, Nassau County police said.

The 28-year-old victim opened the door for two men at his Charles Street home, stepped outside and asked the duo why they were there at 3:10 p.m.

That’s when police said one man punched him in the face and the other fired a shot from a handgun as the victim ran inside. The victim was not hit by the gunfire.

The suspects fled in a late model dark blue BMW 5 series driven by a third man.

Fourth Squad detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
