Electrical problems forced the Long Island Rail Road to suspend service in out of Penn Station, which has re-opened after being temporarily closed to prevent crowding on Thanksgiving eve, the biggest travel day of the year.
Trains later began running in and out of Penn Station, although riders should expect delays and cancellations on the LIRR’s “near-normal” post-Sandy schedule.
“This affects all branches,” LIRR spokesman Sam Zambuto said in a statement.
