Lowe’s Provides Free Thanksgiving Meals to LI Sandy Victims

To help those in our area affected by Hurricane Sandy, Lowe’s is providing more than 22,000 free grab-and-go, heat-and-serve Thanksgiving meals for hard-hit communities across Long Island, New York City and New Jersey.

Lowe’s will provide Boston Market family-style meals. Each meal includes fresh roasted turkey or ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet corn and rolls. The fully cooked dinners will be distributed at 35 stores on a first-come, first-served basis (stores listed below).

Each store location will have approximately 500 meals to provide the local community and more than $1 million worth of food will be distributed during Wednesday’s events, which begin at 11 a.m. and will last until supplies run out.

In addition, Table Talk Pies of Worcester, Mass., has donated more than 43,000 pies to be included in meals.
