An alleged drunken driver struck and killed a 28-year-old man who was skateboarding in his hometown of Farmingdale early Thursday moring, Nassau County police said.
Michael Gradzki was crossing Clinton Street at the corner of Conklin Street when he was was hit by an eastbound Infiniti driven by Kenneth Chan, 31, also of Farmingdale, at 12:24 a.m., police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead two hours later.

Chan was found to be under the influence of alcohol, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.
His bail was set at $50,000 bond or $25,000 cash during his arraignment at First District Court in Hempstead.
Homicide Squad detectives impounded the vehicle for safety checks.
