Nassau County police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Chase bank in Valley Stream on Friday.
Detectives said a man carrying a yellow bag entered the North Central Avenue bank just after 4 p.m. and demanded money from the teller. He then fled on foot after obtaining an unknown amount of cash, police said.
The robber was described as a black male, 24 to 28 years old, about 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, medium build and clean-shaven. He was wearing a light gray hoodie and pants, and a white baseball cap at the time of the robbery, police said.
Nine bank employees and one customer were inside the bank during the robbery.
