Road Closures for Diva’s Half Marathon Sunday

Nassau County police have announced road closures for the Diva’s Half Marathon on Sunday.

The half marathon, which begins at 8 a.m., features roses and champagne at the finish line and ladies tech shirts for all so they can “celebrate like a diva,” according to the marathon’s website.

Of course, there will also be a party for all divas following the race.

Police said road closures will start at 3 a.m.

Road closures: 

Southbound Park Blvd. between Merrick Ave. and Hempstead Tpke. will be closed from 3 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Northbound Park Blvd. between Hempstead Tpke. and Merrick Ave. will be closed from 7:15 a.m. until 8:45 a.m.

Merrick Ave. between Hempstead Tpke. and Stewart Ave. will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Charles Lindberg Blvd. will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.

Northbound Merrick Ave. between Stewart Ave. and Old Country Rd. will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Eastbound Old Country Rd. between Merrick Ave. and Salisbury Park Dr. will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.

Salisbury Park Dr. between Old Country Rd and Carman Ave. will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Carman Ave. between Salisbury Park Dr. and East Meadow High School will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.

Police advise drivers to use alternate routes while traveling in the area because significant delays are expected.
