Man Fired Gun from Car, Injured 1


Nassau County police are looking for a man who fired a gun out of a car window and hit another man while he was driving in Roosevelt two days ago, police said.

Detectives said the 20-year-old victim was driving his Jeep Cherokee on Taylor Avenue at 6:20 p.m. Thursday when a bullet fired by a man in a black BMW hit him in the arm.

The unidentified victim saw the shooter point the gun out the window and heard three or four gunshots. The unknown suspect, and three other people in the car, fled west on Taylor Avenue, police said.

The shooting victim was taken to Nassau University Medical Center for treatment of his injury, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls are anonymous.
