Twisted Sister front man and Long Island resident Dee Snider has publicly denounced the use of his song “We’re Not Gonna Take It” by Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan’s campaign.
“I emphatically denounce Paul Ryan’s use of my song “Were Not Gonna Take It” as recorded by my band Twisted Sister,” said Dee Snider in a statement. “There is almost nothing on which I agree with Paul Ryan, except perhaps the use of the P90X.”
Ryan had recently played the song at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Just last week the Silversun Pickups demanded that the Mitt Romney campaign stop using the band’s song “Panic Switch” after it was played at a campaign event in August.
