Eight suspects have been arrested and are scheduled to be arraigned on a grand jury indictment Monday at Suffolk County court in Riverhead.
Prosecutors identified the ringleaders as Sandra Russell, 26, and Steven McDaniel, 29, who live together at a Gettysburg Court home in Coram along with two suspected drug runners.
They allegedly operated in Medford, Port Jeff, Port Jeff Station, Centereach, Selden, Farmingville, Patchogue, Middle Island and other areas.
Also arrested was their alleged supplier, Taquan Rashad, 43, of the Bronx as well as a Coram man who authorities said ran a stash house. A 23-year-old Farmingville woman and a 21-year-old Medford resident are also accused of acting as drug runners for the ring.
Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said the arrests following an investigation that began in June 2011.
Authorities executed a series of search warrants during the investigation, seizing heroin, diamond necklaces, Rolex watches with price tags attached, cash and written instructions from the ringleaders.
Spota is scheduled to hold a news conference on the case Monday.
