Greenvale Bank Robbery Under Investigation


Nassau County police are investigating a robbery that took place at a Greenvale bank Saturday morning.

Detectives said an unidentified robber entered Well Fargos Bank on Northern Boulevard at 10:25 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding cash. The note also warned that the robber had a gun, but no weapon was ever produced, police said.

After taking an unknown amount of cash the suspect fled the bank on foot northbound through the parking lot, police said.

Five employees and one customer were inside the bank when the incident occurred. No injuries were reported, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 35 to 40 years old, about 6-foot-1, with a medium complexion. He was wearing camouflage shorts, a black t-shirt, white sneakers and a fedora hot, police said.
