A 67-year-old man died after he was pulled from the ocean off a Fire Island beach on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Ovidio Villavnencio, of Queens, was brought in from about 100 feet off shore just east of Field 5 at Robert Moses State Park at about 1:15 p.m., according to a spokeswoman for the Fire Island National Seashore.

He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead shortly later.

The man’s cause of death is under investigation.
