A Hempstead teenager has been arrested for burglarizing five Garden City homes in a three week span this summer, Nassau County police said.
Pedro A. Alcantara-Medina was arrested Wednesday. He was charged with three counts of attempted burglary and two counts of burglary.
Police said the 19-year-old broke into Stewart Avenue home on June 27 and made off with $250 cash.

On July 10, he allegedly broke into a Meadow Street home and a house on Hilton Avenue, but fled empty handed in both cases.
Three days later, police said Alcantara-Medina tried to break into at a Hilton Avenue home and later broke into a house on Garden Street, but did not steal anything.
He will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
