Rapunzel is an adaptation of The Brothers Grimm Fairytale with twists and some contemporary touches.
A tangled cast of four talented actors performs all 12 roles in this musical retelling of the story of a possessive mother who happens to be a witch, a timid young man who happens to be a prince and a determined but immature young girl with the longest hair you’ve ever seen.
Part of Bethpage Federal Credit Union’s Youth Theater Series, Rapunzel is running at the John W. Engeman Theater at Northport, Long Island’s only year-round professional theater company, which casts their actors from the Broadway talent pool. The renovated Theater offers stadium-style seating, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, a full orchestra pit, and a classic wood-paneled piano lounge with full bar.
