What better way to pass time this summer than be outside in nature?

Here at Top 10 Tuesday, we recognize the importance of nice weather and being outdoors. We also know that many people associate Long Island with massive traffic and shopping malls. Well, there’s more to us than that.

Long Island has an abundance of nature preserves and parks that will take you away from the LIE and into the great outdoors.

The following 10 outdoor hotspots have scenic routes for running and taking a solitary stroll. Bring along family, friends, and a Frisbee and enjoy the warm weather together in a beautiful environment. Sign up your children for fun and interesting workshops at the various science museums and centers on site.
