A teenager drowned in a pool at a house in Cutchogue on Wednesday afternoon.

Southold Town Police said Walter Jose Gomez and his father, Arnaldo, were working at a house on Little Neck Road when the elder Gomez found him floating in the pool at 3:38 p.m.

The 18-year-old Cutchogue man was pulled from the pool and taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are continuing the investigation.
