Ronkonkoma Man Killed by DWI Suspect, Cops Say


An alleged drunken driver reportedly struck and killed a 63-year-old Ronkonkoma man in Queens on Tuesday morning.

The New York Daily News reports Frank Avino, an electrician, was setting up a lane closure on the Grand Central Parkway when he was hit by an Audi at 11 a.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 26-year-old Munshi Abdullah of Jamaica Hills, was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and other charges.

Arraignment information for Abdullah was not immediately available.
