Freeport Man Sentenced for Deadly DWI Crash

A man was sentenced Wednesday to seven to 14 years in prison for driving drunk and causing a crash that killed a 24-year-old Port Washington woman last fall.

Kevin Allen pleaded guilty at Nassau County court in May to vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated.

Prosecutors said the 45-year-old Freeport man was driving a Chevrolet Suburban northbound on Main Street in Freeport when he crashed into a BMW being driven westbound on Woodside Avenue on Sept. 2, 2011.
