Man in Burning SUV in Medford Shot, Cops Say


Suffolk County police have determined that the man who was found dead in a burning SUV in Medford over the weekend died of a gunshot wound.

Authorities identified the victim as 40-year-old Felix Roberto Hidalgo Jacquez of Brooklyn.

Police responded to a call of a burning vehicle in a parking lot on Route 112, where they found the victim inside at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Homicide Squad and Arson Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
