Copiague Man Nabbed for String of Burglaries

A Copiague man arrested over the weekend has been charged with six break-ins, one attempted burglary in Lindenhurst, and is the prime suspect in at least 10 other burglaries on the south shore, authorities said.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said 22-year-old Errol Barham Jr. was arrested Saturday for the alleged break-ins, which occurred between midnight and 4 a.m. while the homeowners were asleep.

The district attorney’s office is holding a press conference Tuesday to discuss the case. Some of the stolen items that will be on display include jewelry, cameras, laptops, an iPad, credit cards and cash, officials said. All the items were recovered at a local pawnshop and during a search of his Copiague home.
