A 40-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash in his hometown of Smithtown on Monday morning.
Suffolk County police said Francis Stanuch was riding a Honda motorcycle northbound on Landing Avenue when he collided with a southbound Ford while the driver, Eric Gismervik, was making a left turn onto Oakside Drive shortly after 8 a.m.
Stanuch was ejected from the motorcycle. He was taken to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown, where he was pronounced dead.

Fourth Squad detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on this crash to call them at 631-854-8452.
