Suffolk County police have identified the 20-year-old woman who was found dead in her hometown of Central Islip over the weekend.

Police said Jennifer Perez was found lying on the side of the road at the corner of Pinewood Avenue and Marie Place at 7:27 a.m. Saturday.

A passing motorist called 911 after reportedly making the discovery.

Suffolk County medical examiners are conducting an autopsy to determine the victim’s cause of death.

A police spokeswoman said there is no further information being released.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing their investigation.
