Body Found in Burning Car in Medford Parking Lot


A man was fond dead in a burning car in Medford on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.

A 911 caller reported a car fire in a parking lot on Route 112 at 3:30 p.m. Officers who responded searched the vehicle and discovered the body, police said.

Homicide Squad and Arson Squad detectives are continuing the investigation. Suffolk County medical examiners will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
