Man Stabbed, Robbed in Hempstead, Cops Say


A man walking down a Hempstead street was stabbed and then robbed by three males just after midnight on Sunday, Nassau County police said.

Detectives said the 24-year-old victim was walking on Main Street at the intersection of Fulton Avenue when three black males approached him. They then demanded the man’s wallet, police said, and stabbed him in the stomach.

One of the robbers is described as approximately 26 years old, wearing a white shirt with blue stripes and has short curly hair, police said. No description is available for the other two males.

After stabbing and robbing the man, the three males fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash. The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.
