Cops Probe Hempstead Homicide

Nassau County police are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Hempstead on Saturday.

Detectives said First Precinct officers responded to a Shot Spotter alert on Ditmas Avenue at 5 p.m. and discovered a 26-year-old male fatally shot in the roadway.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
